Joining The Dots

How does the design of my future learning space; Books Without Borders link with one of the nine initiatives of Teachers Without Borders and how does this then link with learning spaces?

Books Without Borders is a uniquely digital resource that can be utilised in the E-Space and so aligns perfectly with the Teachers Without Borders initiative: Bridges To Understanding, Digital Storytelling and problem solving for youth-Worldwide.

The E-space essentially and successfully bypasses the need for physical resources and is less reliant on funding, allowing for the utilisation of online resources that are accessible wherever and whenever in the world.

The learning space that I have created addresses the needs of young learners in challenging global environments through providing a free and open resource to be utilised by educators from every culture and country across the globe.  A read aloud storybook resource that is read and recorded by a real person, reading a real story, with a real voice, with real expression and real emotion for refugees.

Read aloud stories can provide a rich and engaging experience that is both educational and enjoyable connecting students with a world beyond their classroom. (McQuiggan et al., 2015).
