BOOKS WITHOUT BORDERS

Share A Story

So how can you help? Simple, video yourself reading a story, upload it to tube and send me a link.  Be a part of this process, choose a story and come with me on a journey to make a real difference in the world...

A few tips.  For the best sound quality try to ensure that you are in a quiet spot and that there is very little or no background noise.  Choose a picture story book, make yourself comfortable and get ready to read and record.   Make sure that the listener/viewer can see your face and the book clearly.

The essence of the idea behind these read aloud resources is not to produce an audio book, it is not for educational purposes per se, but it is to share a story, read by a real person, with real books. So, start by introducing yourself: 'Hello, my name is Miss Kerr and I would like to share a story with you.'  Introduce the story book with the title, author and illustrator. Then read ...

When naming your recording please use the following as a guide:  Reading For Refugees, Miss Kerr Reads The Tiger Who Came To Tea by Judith Kerr, October 2017.  Obviously, insert your name and the title, author and illustrator of the book that you have chosen and the date that you recorded it.

I would really like these read aloud resources to be engaging and enjoyable, to inspire a love of literature, a passion for prose and to give some magical moments to children in the world that do not have much magic in their lives.
